Biography
Profile
I am a freelance filmmaker and trainer, driven by purpose, passion and over 20 years experience. I bring empathy and curiosity together with high journalistic standards to create my own distinctive style.
I specialize in impactful social affairs storytelling, with an ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, building trust and capture this on camera.
I worked for 17 years at the Guardian, founding its video team, winning multiple awards and nominations -and created the pioneering Anywhere But Westminster series.
My work is also driven by a deep commitment to collaboration, working closely with communities to empower them in their own storytelling. I have turned my approach to filmmaking into a training and co-production practice.
Whether making films myself, or training and mentoring others, the skillset and goal is the same: working closely with people, creating a space of mutual trust, respect and creativity, in order to tell stories that are both authentic and powerful.
